The Power of Collective Prayer

You or your loved one receives a diagnosis from a physician that is unthinkable.  For many – THIS is the pivotal event that leads you to turn to prayer for hope.  As a person who heard a cancer diagnosis more than five years ago, I believe in prayer to help you through the toughest of times.  I invite you to read on to learn about a unique “dynamic duo” of organizations that spotlights the power of prayer for those who have the greatest of need.

Maimah Karmo, an active participant with 411 Voices Media, is also the founder of the Tigerlily Foundation.  This organization helps women and men through cancer with education, support and resources.  This week, just in time for Thanksgiving, they have teamed with the Unity SPIRIT program.  Their mission statement and vision included the following:

Mission: The mission of the Tigerlily Foundation & Unity SPIRIT Partnership is to create an outreach initiative, where spirituality and faith intersect with wellness and inner healing, for young breast cancer survivors, their families, children and caregivers.  We take a holistic approach to integrate spirituality with health, centered around  love, affirmation, inner healing and hope.Vision:  Our vision is to integrate spirituality and prayer into cancer care, empowering young women with tools that offer them healing beyond the physical.
