As a person who heard a cancer diagnosis more than five years ago, I believe in prayer to help you through the toughest of times. Maimah Karmo, an active participant with 411 Voices Media, is also the founder of the Tigerlily Foundation. This organization helps women and men through cancer with education, support and resources. This week, just in time for Thanksgiving, they have teamed with the Unity SPIRIT program. Their mission statement and vision included the following:
Mission: The mission of the Tigerlily Foundation & Unity SPIRIT Partnership is to create an outreach initiative, where spirituality and faith intersect with wellness and inner healing, for young breast cancer survivors, their families, children and caregivers.
